4.0 Effective Megapixels: 4 megapixel CCD provides a maximum
resolution of 2272 x 1704 pixels for beautiful prints as large as 11" x 17".
Zoom-Nikkor Lens: 3x optical Zoom-Nikkor lens (35mm equivalent of 38-114mm)
incorporates ED glass for increased clarity. Has an additional 4x digital zoom
for a maximum zooming capability of 12x.
Scene Modes with Scene Assist & Auto Setting: Use the Automatic setting for
point-and-shoot simplicity or use one of 15 Scene Modes that automatically set
the camera for the best exposure in specific shooting situations (portraits,
sunset, etc.) The 4 Scene Assist Modes also aid in framing the picture for
proper focus, exposure and composition. Macro: Macro feature lets you get sharp,
clear images as close as 1.6" from your subject. Movie Mode: Capture live action
with sound. Clips are saved as a QuickTime(TM) movie, which can easily be
emailed to family and friends.
Metering: Choose your preferred light metering system. Select Nikon's
exclusive 256-Segment Matrix metering, Center-Weighted, or Spot metering
options. (Use Matrix metering for general shooting, center-weighted for a
central subject, and spot for emphasis on a particular area.) Nikon In-Camera
Red-Eye Fix(TM): corrects most typical instances of red-eye iduring the picture
taking process. By the time youre ready for your next shot, the camera has
already fixed and saved the image, without the red eyes.
Autofocus: 5-Area Automatic Autofocus System selects the focus spot for you,
or use the 99 step Manual Autofocus option. AF Assist Illuminator makes sharp
focus possible when the subject is not well lit.
Flash: 5 mode built-in flash: Auto, Red-Eye Reduction (by pre-flash),
Anytime Flash, Flash Cancel and Slow Sync. No external flash option. Nikon
exclusive In-Camera Red-Eye Fix(TM) is turned on when red-eye reduction flash
mode is selected. This eliminates most typical instances of red-eye during the
picture-taking process. Features One-Touch(R) Upload(TM) for easy image transfer
from camera to computer.
